I love experimenting with different mediums and styles. Painting wildlife allows me the creative freedom to attempt to capture something different in the work. In this painting, I used a black, grey and white pallet focusing on the intricate details of the Elephants face which takes up the whole of the canvas asserting its monumental size. Although mighty in stature, these gentle giants are an endangered species. Elephant numbers have dropped by 62% over the last decade. An estimated 100 African elephants are killed each day by poachers seeking ivory, meat and body parts, leaving only 400,000 remaining.
Compassion. Elephant Portrait.
